I understand where you're coming from, WD, but I think some of it is inevitable. This bike has been in production for 14 years now, largely unchanged. How many more times can we discuss the carb mods or exhaust system changes? It's all been said before. Frankly, I rather enjoy the reads about great rides.

My personal favorite is the section through Wayne and Holmes counties in Ohio. This is the largest concentration of the Amish in the country, to the best of my knowledge. You can ride for miles without ever seeing a powerline. But beware of the horse-drawn buggies. I always pull in my clutch and coast pass these wonderful folks for fear of scarring their horses, and they always wave in appreciation.

There are number of fine places to eat down there, and I'm fortunate that it's only an hour from my house on some truely inviting 2-lane roads.

The RIDE is more important to me than the technical details. I enjoy about hearing about riding venues whereever they might be -- Ohio, Tennessee, Switerzland, anywhere. They always give me the feeling that there might just be one more great ride just over that next ridge that I hadn't heard of.

Ride farther, ride safe.
